Track Marshals
Santa Pod Raceway is currently recruiting volunteer track marshals to work on or in close proximity to the track and racing. You’ll be the first port of call for the safe running of all our on-track events.
Key roles available include working on the fire & safety crew, running and maintaining the timing equipment, administering paperwork with racers, communicating messages to the racers in the pits, track maintenance & preparation, aiding in the traffic management of race cars and more.
Santa Pod Raceway hosts over 50 events a year ranging from FIA European race meetings to open public track days. It is preferable that the applicant has a full valid driving licence and own transport but it is by no means essential.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the on-track racing and ensuring it’s operating safely and smoothly
- Acting as a point of contact for racers, teams, and the public for Santa Pod Raceway
- Engaging with potential customers and answering queries

The role is for weekend work with the occasional weekday where events run into the week.

Race Director
Santa Pod Raceway is currently looking for Race Director to join our senior race management team for a select number of Drag Racing events each year.
This is a fast-paced role where, alongside our existing Race Director and senior race management team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of all our Motorsport UK-sanctioned race events. These events include the season-opening Festival of Power, our two FIA/FIM European Drag Racing Championship events, and the STP Sportsman Series.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all relevant regulations are complied with, and that all necessary equipment is available
- Ensure that all Officials are provided with the information necessary to carry out their duties
- Ensure the appropriate Officials are at their posts and report accordingly before any event commences.
- Ensure that every accident or incident involving a competing vehicle is reported to the relevant Team Chiefs
- Send the vehicles to the starting line in the right order
- Advise the relevant parties on any proposal to modify the race timetable
- Collect the reports of the relevant Team Chiefs, together with any other Official information effecting the results
- Deal with any Protests from Competitors
- Additional ad-hoc duties and responsibilities relevant to the race meeting as required
- Scope for future International Race Director role for the right person
Requirements
- Well-presented and friendly with a professional attitude
- Excellent communication and conversational skills
- Attentive and observant
- Well-versed in Motorsport UK rules and procedures
- Motorsport UK Clerk of the Course Licence or equivalent licence from a recognised FIA-accredited sanctioning body
- Experience as Race Director, Deputy Race Director, or Assistant Race Director at Motorsport UK events or with other recognised FIA-accredited sanctioning body
- Drag Racing experience desired but not essential
